jaded and unlucky

Today, the first Thursday of August 2012, is considered one of my unlucky days for the year. I don't know, maybe I woke up at the wrong side of the bed. The bleak rain which downpours every hour, and I am not even enthusiastic about it. I cooked my lunch and while I'm preparing the table, I decided to gather our waste and take it in the street for garbage collection. Alas! As I am getting out of the house, the wind slammed the door shut and locked me outside. I have no way to get in! My lunch is still being cooked inside with no supervision, and so I tried to go to nearest public phone to ask for keys from my housemate. Suddenly the rain started trolling, and the wind shut me again outside with the gate. Now it is getting worse. My neighbor tried to help me by climbing our property so that he can open the gate from inside. Since this time I am starting to panic by the cooking, I break the windows (unfortunately with iron grills) so that I can pull my bag where my keys are (fortunately it is reachable from outside). This happened for about an hour.

When all this have ended, I just thought that maybe I am lucky after all! My jaded brain and rain-soaked body can still appreciate that this misfortune could have been more horrible if fire has started to crawl its way from my cooking...

My Sunday Escapade

Last Sunday, I attended my free yoga session in http://www.urbanashrammanila.com/openhouse

and it was fun! By the way, urbanashram has extended their open house until July 29, 2012. I'm looking forward to my next free classes :) :) :)

After yoga class, my friend Ging and I went to Mercato to buy ManilaQ's Bagwang. If you don't know what Bagwang is, it is crispy pork - bagnet style. After eating Bagwang, I also purchased the raw pork for P290 half a kilo. Though a bit expensive, I think it is a must try for my family.

It must have been a while when I realized I have a meeting in the afternoon with a guy friend for Muscle Toning session. For only P200, we availed this PowerPeel clinic promo thru group-on deals. As of the moment, I am on my third session and I can only see minimum difference. So little that I think I will not recommend this to a friend who is looking for a serious change in their body. The best way to maximize this kind of treatment is to parallel this with gym session or marathon.

After all of this, I went to the mall to look for gym or yoga clothes. I have no luck with that, and it seems a very long day for me so off I went to our home sweet home :)

Scrambled eggs with Tuna and Malunggay

I was thinking of cooking something unique with malunggay. This plant in front of our house is currently blooming with leaves, and I have a can of tuna and eggs. Mix the latter two in a bowl and then cook it in a pan with olive oil. A minute before it was cook, put the malunggay leaves as toppings. Tadah! I have fresh scrambled eggs with tuna and malunggay - healthy and delicious! :)

goggles review - at first, I was disappointed because there are no rubber seal around the eye part. But when i tested it in water, everything is so clear. Though I didn't get comfortable with the "no-rubber" goggles, I get used to them in the end. The sale price is at P275. Original price is P900.
